BI appoints Customer Offer Marketing Manager to spearhead growth

Leading supplier Bearings International (BI) has appointed Victor Strobel as Customer Offer Marketing Manager, reporting directly to BI Business Unit Head Ross Trevelyan at the Parkhaven head office. Appointed officially from 1 October, Strobel brings with him 33 years of experience in industry, comprising of three years on plant, 15 years in sales management, and 15 years in marketing and product management. Victor has a degree in marketing, and also completed a leadership development course through BIT.

Strobel will assume responsibility for all of BI’s product managers, with the main goal of consolidating the marketing efforts into profitable growth. His team has over 200 years of combined experience, which he will use to conceive and execute marketing strategies and tactics to drive growth. Strobel has held various senior management positions in sales and marketing in a large multi-national South African based company over the last 26 years.

Trevelyan comments that Strobel’s extensive offer marketing experience will add a new dynamic to the product management team. “He will guide the team to a new approach of clearly-defined marketing strategies and action plans, focused on customer satisfaction and long-term growth. We look forward to working with him and the team, to grow our market share and the BI brand in Southern Africa.”

In order to achieve this, Strobel will also work closely with BI’s countrywide network of 49 branches, with an ambition to grow further into Southern Africa. “We would like a standardised look and feel to all of our branches, and ensure that they provide service excellence to all of our customers. We will also aim to unlock further opportunities in the retail market,” Strobel concludes.
